Inspired by art from the Renaissance with radiating light beams and the use of blue to convey the feeling of emotional depth.
Created by time, light and water, the record making nature of cyanotype and the choice of materials such as paper, silk, linen and glass are as much a part of these works as the subject matter. Images are made with a camera and then assembled on hand coated sensitized paper or fabric, exposed to UV light and fixed in water. Color is added after drying with watercolor, pastel, gouache, spray paint, ink and acrylic.
